Q: What is the problem with the Flush Mount fixture?
A: We have identified a safety concern involving insulation on the socket wire which is degrading, allowing a short circuit to occur between the wire and the fixture's metal canopy. This presents a fire and electric shock hazard. This problem affects sixteen models of Dolan Designs flush mounts sold between September 2008 and October 2009.

Q: When were the affected Flush Mount fixtures sold?
A: The affected light fixtures were sold through Seattle Lighting, Globe Lighting, Builders Lighting and other lighting showrooms nationwide and DestinationLighting.com mostly for use in new home construction, between September 2008 and October 2009. These fixtures were not sold through big box retail stores.
Q: How can I tell if my Flush Mount Fixture is affected by the recall?
A: Turn off the power to the fixture at the wall switch and at the breaker. Remove the glass as if you were changing the light bulbs. If the sockets are labeled "BO AN" and your product was purchased between September 2008 and October 2009 your product is affected by this recall.
If the sockets are labeled "SunLite" your fixture is not part of this recall.
Only fixtures with two sockets are part of this recall.
